Location: Poole

We are seeking a Youth Club Leader to oversee the running of youth club sessions twice a week on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening and to periodically cover on a Thursday session. The Youth Club Leader will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment and running sessions and activities for a variety of age groups and a SEND group.

Responsibilities:
– Attending and running youth club sessions for a variety of age groups and a SEND group.
– Creating a fun and safe environment for the young people to thrive in.
– Organising/assisting with the youth club programmes and activities
– Engagement of youth club members
– Helping to build relationships with the young people and the local community.
– Keeping the youth club in good condition including setting up and closing down after each session.
– Ensuring any income for the youth subscriptions, tuck shop etc are collected and accounted properly.
– Any other activities as considered necessary for the operation of the youth centre

Responsible to the Youth Club Manager

Skills:
– Experience with working with young people is preferred but not essential
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organisational and time management abilities
– Ability to be able to deal with any sensitive issues that may arise in a calm and respectful manner.
