Location: Bournemouth

We are looking for a Job Coach to help support our learners with pre placement planning and ongoing support during their placements. In this role you will be working closely with learners, centre staff and local employers who offer placements.

Responsibilities and Duties:
– Work with the learners in a classroom setting to establish rapport and support needs.
– Attend work placement interview with learner and support with preparation of interview.
– Engage with employer to establish learner work placement roles and responsibilities and identify support requirements.
– Carry out work placement Health and Safety check (HASP), if required.
– Support learner with travel training necessary for them to be able to travel between home and work placement.
– Support learner with purchase of appropriate work wear, if required.
– Plan pre work placement visits with learner to work placement/employer, if necessary.
– Encourage the learner to adopt a good standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
– Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies to form a good working relationship which will help to support the learner in placement.
– Become familiar with the learner’s Access To Work hours planner and support needs identified in the Access To Work application.
– Check with the tutor whether parental/carer consents have been given for photographs/video etc, to be taken.

Desired Skills:
– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
– High attention to detail and strong time keeping skills.
– Ability to follow the strict guidelines and procedures required.

Experience:
– Working with young adults with SEND
– Teaching or coaching

Salary: £12.12 per hour Hourly rate does not include holiday pay which is 14.54 % of your hourly rate in lieu of accrued holiday pay.
Hours: Part time – Hours will vary due to demand
