ReferralsSimple Referral Process
SWRAC work with Local Authorities, SEND teams, parents & individuals, schools, colleges and career guidance organisation to create bespoke packages for the provision of Post-16 Education. This can either be on a small group basis or on a 1:1 basis and is always ‘person-centred’ to reflect the individual’s needs.

Simple Referral Process
We try to make our referral processes as straight-forward and simple as possible. Should you wish to refer an individual to us please either email us at referrals@swrac.ac.uk or call us on 01202 848099 or 0330 2020 383.
We hold direct contracts with the Department of Education as well as close relationships with mainly Local Authorities which enables us to except students very quickly and with the minimum of fuss.
Our referral procedure will involve combinations of speaking to you as the referrer, consulting the student’s EHCP (where applicable) and consulting with the relevant Local Authority. We will only make a final decision after having met with the student and shown them around our centre to ensure they feel confident and comfortable with attending our programmes.
A trusted provider, inspected by Ofsted
Our programmes include Preparing for Life, Preparing for Work, Supported Internships, and bespoke alternative provision. All SWRAC staff hold the appropriate level of DBS clearance, and our provision was most recently inspected by Ofsted in November 2025. You can view our latest Ofsted inspection report here.
We deliver this provision across multiple venues in Dorset (Wimborne, Boscombe and Dorchester) as well as Merseyside.
Our referral process is straightforward, and we welcome the opportunity to discuss individual needs in more detail. Please do not hesitate to contact us, we look forward to working with you.
