IOSH Working Safely Certificate
Working Safely is a one-day course for employees from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. It provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety – everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must “work safely” and this course offers exactly that. Working Safely introduces a completely new approach to health and safety training and offers all the basics in a high impact interactive package. We can provide this course to your company, based on a minimum of 8 attendees, or anyone can attend our open courses at Merley House,which are held monthly.
IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
Managing Safely is a course for Managers and Supervisors in any sector. It is designed to provide the knowledge needed to manage health and safety within a team. The flexible, high impact programme covers the main health and safety issues and includes a session on the environment too. The following eight modules are covered:
- Introducing Managing Safely
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
- Protecting our environment
Manual Handling
Manual Handling in any workplace causes many unnecessary injuries which are easily avoidable with a little thought and training. This course is designed for many different roles from frontline workers who use bodily force to those who spend large amounts of time at a desk and suffer neck or shoulder damage as a result. The course is taught both in the classroom and in the work place where real everyday events are practiced and discussed.
